With property disappearing in the dead of night and without any signs of forced entry, they realise they are dealing with either a phantom, or, more troublingly... one of their own…
Blame has finally fallen upon the once ‘respectable’ Deacon William Brodie. Convicted following a botched robbery, he is now sentenced to hang, some say, from the very gallows he himself designed.
Following his execution, Brodie’s worldly possessions will be turned over to the state, and while incriminating evidence was found in his workshop, no one has yet gained access to the mysterious cabinet that sits right at the back...
You have a narrow window - just one hour until the noose falls and the authorities come knocking. Long enough to unlock the cabinet’s secrets and recover the Deacon’s fortune for yourself? Perhaps…
But be warned, Brodie was a cunning man and a master of deception. Who knows what riddles and traps he may have left for those who come after his fortune…
